Rexxar Easy to get around Misha and focus Rexxar with Wind walk and clones combo, make sure you're not over extending your fight, or others will come to aid him.

The Butcher Easy to kill, usually goes for your clones, 33% to get you when you clone right, you and extra 2 clones do a pretty good amount of damage to him.

Johanna Has blinds and takes ages to bring down, try to focus targets with lower health so you can deal a lot of damage and walk away.

Nova Easy to ambush and finish but be ready if shes lurking, she can finish you off easy if you have no clones.

Tassadar Can spot your clones and may use his escape ability to trick you into engaging his teammates.

Sgt. Hammer Usually easy to get on his own if you ambush right but Sgt got allies with him using his radius most of the times, so you might wanna have a friend when you engage him.

Falstad Once you are spotted, Falstad can be a pain to avoid, try to avoid conflicts with him if you're not sure you can ambush and get him.

Illidan Going head to head against Illidan with his evasion against auto attacks can be a pain, try to avoid him and let your clones deal with him, if he engages in a teamfight he'll most likely already pressed evade, give him a few seconds for it to pass and then engage when he's vulnerable.

Zeratul Can easily get in and out of combat and will ambush you when he finds the real clone.

Tracer Dont let her catch who the real Samuro you are, she might use revealing rounds and get you easy if you get wind walk under CD.

Introduction Top




Samuro is still new and refreshing and some know how to deal with him and some don't, I aim to study and master Samuro, I think he has a lot to offer, totally hard to play and master but very rewarding when played right, my top played heroes were Illidan and Abathur, I believe Samuro can be a mixture of both, map awareness, skilled positioning and timing of the right abilities, are crucial to make you succeed as Samuro.


I'll keep on practicing and post new ways on how to utilize this hero

Pros vs Cons Top

Pros

    Can surprise and deal decent burst damage
    No mana/Cooldown based hero, with the right timing can stand in lane/fight for a while
    Can trick enemies to over extend and pick a fight with a decoy image or follow him and waste time
    High sustained damage
    High mobility
    Stealthy when needed
    Easy to finish camps with
    A bit tricky but can solo boss
    Multiple viable talents allowing you to adjust to your team's or enemy's comp

Cons

    Easy to kill when spotted
    Easy to punish on mistakes
    Hard to play (cooldown and movement based, bad decisions will kill you in split secs)
    Very hard to play (To fully gain advantage from Illusion master)
    Hard to fit in a composition
    Easy to counter (all of his damage is basic attack based except Bladestorm, vulnerable to blinds)
    No wave clear

Abilities Top

Advancing Strikes (passive)


Your passive, every time you hit an enemy's hero, you gain movement speed for a few seconds, allowing you to continue your pursuit or flee.

auto attack


Basically all your damage comes from it (unless you picked Bladestorm).

Mirror Image (Q)


Create 3 images that will attack and move on their own as AI takes over, till you pick Illusion Master.
They do less damage and have less max health than you, they copy the same percentage of health when you use them, so use them wisely,

Critical Strike (W)


Your hero's main burst is critical striking, dealing 50% increased damage and activated passively every 4th attack (without talents), or, you can activate it by pressing W and the next attack within 8 secs would be a critical strike, time it right and you can enter a fight ready to strike a critical strike, press W again and you just made 2 critical strikes ( 2x150%=300% ) in 2 attacks, don't forget that besides your added 200% on those 2 attacks, you usually have images attacking at the same time for added damage.

Wind Walk (E)


Your evade and engage skill, wind walk will force your hero to gain stealth and gain increased movement speed, when facing 1 opponent you can use it to get behind him and use images to block his way when trying to run while dealing damage, but because you're an assassin and low on health, most times it's best to save E and use it to flee when you're taking too much damage, can also be used as a gap closer to finish a kill.

Your Heroic Skills



1. Bladestorm (R)


Your first ultimate ability is blade storm, better used when you need more burst and less control, such as in small maps or with less lanes, unstoppable attack that damages all enemies within a small radius near you, controllable so you can move towards your target to continue dealing damage, be careful, you can get killed while spinning, and till you buff it on level 20, your images won't copy you doing blade storm and will reveal you (easy way to escape after using bladestorm is to use images and use wind walk).

2. Illusion Master (R)


Your second ultimate ability, letting you control your images of the Q ability, using 1 to select you, 2-3 for clones, 4 for all, and 5 to activate or deactivate their AI so they won't move or attack on their on, pressing R and clicking on an image or pressing 2/3 and then R will change your location with that image with a short cooldown, (use it to change lanes quickly, drink from the healing fountain, getting faster to objectives while clearing a lane, and basically being in 2 places at once.

Oct 25th - Samuro 1st mini nerf (Slightly lower health, images CD is longer, images' damage bonus with illusion master is reduced), guide stays the same but now when Samuro is further more vulnerable, you should try to play safer.
