Threat Hero Notes
1
Abathur Not much of a threat alone. Be careful when he is with an ally as he can dish out a lot of damage.
1
Brightwing Easy to take on 1v1, in a team be careful as polymorph is extremely annoying.
1
E.T.C. No damage, easy 1v1. Be careful in team fights as he has extremely good CC abilities.
1
Gazlowe Try to avoid his turrets and bombs and focus him down. If you can do that easy kill.
1
Jaina If you can avoid her abilities easy kill as her basic damage isn't that impressive. She also is very squishy so you can burst her down before she can burst you down.
1
Li Li Easy to take down, be careful of baits as she can constantly heal and lead you into a trap.
1
Malfurion Easy to take down, be careful of baits as he can constantly heal and lead you into a trap.
1
Murky Easy to kill.
1
Rehgar Pretty simple to kill, try to kite him. Be careful of baits as he has good heals.
1
Tassadar Somewhat easy to take on, be careful of baits and as long as you avoid his storms you'll be fine.
1
Tyrande Try to avoid her Lunar Flare, otherwise she doesn't really pose a threat as she cannot dish out as much damage as Tychus can. She is very squishy and has bad heals.
2
Azmodan Easy to take care of, High health makes him annoying. Try to grenade him when he channels his laser. Other than laser he has no damage.
3
Diablo No real damage, but huge disrupts, Be careful in team fights as he can throw you into the enemy team.
3
Illidan Extremely annoying, however Overkill build deals with him extremely easily as his Evaison does not stop ability damage. Kite him back with Overkill.
3
Muradin Be careful of his stuns in a team fight. He can't do damage and has no range so try to kite him as much as possible in a 1v1.
3
Nazeebo Can be hard to fight late game, but easy to take 1v1 if you focus him. Careful of his Zombie wall though.
3
Uther Not really a threat as he can't do any damage, however he has great CC and is extremely dangerous in team fights. Try not to clump together when he is around.
4
Anub'arak Hard to take care of alone. Stuns are extremely annoying. Try to kite him as much as possible.
4
Arthas Careful to to get caught in ice. If he can get close he can do a lot of damage. Try to kite at all possible times.
4
Chen Try not to let him disrupt you too much. Try to kite at all costs and don't let him breath fire on you. Slows can be annoying if you get caught.
5
Falstad Evenly matched, Try to get him before he can get you. He can also dish out a lot of damage so Stoneskin and First Aid comes in handy here.
5
Valla Pretty evenly matched as you both can push out a lot of damage. I would give the edge to Tychus as he has a moving Overkill and can kite Valla, and Tychus is also more tanky.
6
Raynor One of the harder heroes for Tychus as Raynor now out ranges him significantly. Try to bait his Penetration round before using Overkill as it can stop Overkill.
6
Sgt. Hammer Harder champion for Tychus as Hammer can do damage from a distance. Try to close the distance and use Overkill as Lead Rain prevents her from escaping and she does less damage up close. Stoneskin + First Aid helps.
6
Zagara Pretty dangerous as her minions can do a lot of damage. Also she can outrange you if she picks a specific talent. Try to wait till she uses her abilities then jump her as she has no good escapes.
7
  No Threat
8
Thrall Pretty dangerous if he gets up close as he is very tanky and has good heals. Try to kite with overkill as much as possible. If you can keep kiting with overkill he poses no threat.
9
Kerrigan Pretty dangerous vs Tychus. Her stuns can prevent you from doing anything until she kills you. Try to kite as much as possible and don't take her 1v1.
9
Sonya Dangerpus to Tychus as she can get out close and contantly heal with WW. Try to kite her as much as possible and take her on with a team not 1v1.
9
Tyrael Pretty dangerous as Judgement stops you cold. Even though his damage isn't as high as could be he can constantly pressure you and it is extremely hard to kite him. Try to take him on with a team if possible.
10
Nova Be careful of her burst damage. Can take you out before you can respond. Use stoneskin and first aid immediately if you can.
10
Stitches Extremely dangerous, do not take him on alone. Hook + Gorge is almost a guaranteed death.
10
Zeratul Be careful of Zeratul as he can take you down extremely fast before you blink, don't try to take him 1v1 and kit as much as possible with Overkill.

Intro Top

Tychus is an amazing and resourceful assassin. Many would call Tychus overpowered, but he as good as any assassin if played well. Tychus is extremely good at kiting due to his Overkill ability and has great survivability (compared to other assassins such as Jaina, Nova, and Raynor). Even though he is considered Hard to play, by the game, He is pretty straight forward and once you get used to him you will be tearing your way through the ladder. Tychus does have some weaknesses however, as he is extremely squishy like most assassins.

Abilities Top

Tychus has a multitude of abilities that range from disrupts to escapes. This makes Tychus extremely useful in terms utility as he can bring a lot to his team. Even though he is mainly an assassin, and is meant to take down heroes, some of his abilities allow him to take down lanes in no time.

(Q) Overkill is Tychus's main damage ability. This ability allows Tychus to kite almost any enemy while dealing a ton of damage at the same time. The reason Tychus is so good, is probably due to this ability (not saying that his other abilities aren't good at all.) With Overkill a chasing enemy can quickly find the tables turned as his life count quickly dwindles down.

(W) Frag Grenade is Tychus's disrupt ability. It can do a load of damage, however its main use is to disrupt enemy channels and to knock them either towards you for an kill or away from you so you can get away. Frag Grenade also works magnificently in team fights as it scatters the enemy team making them easier to pick off, while also doing immense damage to them.

(E) Run and Gun is Tychus's escape ability. This ability acts a lot like Valla's Vault and Falstad's Barrel Roll. This ability is meant to help Tychus escape when the going gets rough and to help him catch up to his enemy if they are running away. The great thing about this ability is that using it does not cancel Overkill, so this ability helps Tychus kite enemies a lot easier.

(R) Drakken Laser Drill or (R) Commandeer Odin are Tychus's ultimate abilities. Both of these abilities have their own different uses. Drakken Laser Drill is best picked when you really need to defend something since, it is immobile and will be stuck wherever you place it. It comes in handy on maps where you needs to grab a shrine or a tribute, such as Cursed Hollow, Sky Temple, and Dragon Shire. Commandeer Odin is great when you need to be mobile as it gives Tychus an extreme boost in firepower, while still allowing him to move around. Commandeer Odin is also great at pushing forts and pressuring the enemy team.

Trait Top

Minigun is an amazing trait as it makes Tychus, well Tychus. Without this trait he would not be one of the more unique heroes in this game and one of the best assassins. This trait allows Tychus to gain a faster firing rate and pile on damage quicker than most heroes. However, Minigun does have some cons and it requires the weapon to have a spin up time meaning you need to wait a while before it actually does any damage. This is a minor price to pay, however, for all the damage Tychus can do later. Although, this trait may not be as good as some other traits in the game, it still holds some decent value.

For the first ability I would choose Armor Piercing Rounds as it is the only ability worth getting on the first tier. Armor Piercing Rounds actually holds a lot of value as they add bonus damage to Overkill your main damage source. Shredder Grenades, Dash, Regeneration Master, and Scouting Drone are essentially useless as this isn't a Grenade build and the other abilities don't add much value.

Top

Spray 'n' Pray would be the second ability I choose. Since this is primarily an Overkill build, Spray 'n' Pray holds value as it allows you to kite your opponent much easier than you could before. Instead of getting close to your opponent which would put Tychus at risk from being killed you can deal damage from a range where your opponent cannot reach you.

Top

First Aid is the best ability for Tychus as it adds survivability, meaning that you will die less often. Since, Tychus is a really squishy character having self heals actually benefit him a lot. This ability is useful in team fights as you do not have to retreat to the fountain when you are low. This also helps when you get ganked as you can survive more easily. The amount of utility brought by this ability cannot be replaced. For this guide you would not take any other ability.

For Tychus's heroic ability, I almost always choose Commandeer Odin as it is almost always the better choice. Commandeer Odin can be mobile while Drakken Laser Drill cannot, Commandeer Odin has a greater range and has abilities which deal more damage than the laser drill. While the laser drill can be more easily destroyed, the Odin cannot unless Tychus dies. The Odin can also help push lanes, while the laser drill is meant for static defense in one area. As you can see the utility brought by the Odin cannot be countered by the laser drill, therefore Odin is the best choice.

Lead Rain is the ideal choice for this build. This ability helps Tychus in many ways. Since, Lead Rain slows the target significantly, it allows the increased range from Spray 'n' Pray and increased damage from Armor Piercing Rounds to do its job and kill the enemy. Since, Run and Gun can be used while Overkill is active, this slow can also help Tychus escape from certain death.

Stoneskin is my go to talent for this build. This talent is great as it provides instant survivability to something that may have killed you. Since Commandeer Odin now is Tychus' own health, Stoneskin stacks well with First Aid when you are on Odin, so you can continue to push damage without dying. These two talents are extremely useful as Tychus] cannot push out any damage when he is dead. Feel free to use [[Stoneskin even when you are not on Odin as it can soak a lot of the damage you take.

Last but not least, I take Big Red Button for my last talent. Many people may be confused as to why I choose this ability over maybe Nexus Frenzy or even Bolt of the Storm. The reason I choose this ability is, because I feel like the Nuke is always underestimated. At this late stage of the game you will probably be mostly taking team fights and the extra damage the nuke brings is extremely important. This ability is meant to scatter the enemy team allowing them to be easy pickings for the other members of your team. Hitting the enemy, of course, is an added bonus. I have seen enemy assassins, such as Valla go to half health due to 1 hit of the nuke, and I have to say if the enemy stays clumped together they are in for a beating.
