Firstborn of the Raven Lord

IMPORTANT INFO:

( This Hero is not based on any current Blizzard character. This hero is based on a mixture of different fictional characters I wanted to give a Blizzard-personification. And with the recent reveal of the Raven Lord as a cannon character - Why not say the bloke has a kid? Because this is somewhat original, the Bio will be a bit longer than what is usual for hero concepts here at Heroesfire. )



Bio:

Rachel Ravensdaughter is the firstborn child of the Raven Lord family and is currently a master of Inter-dimensional Nexus powers which has been self taught by the most part in ways of studying The Raven Lord's own collection of magical scrolls and books in addition to having dabbled into other powers wielded by all of the Realm Lords.

At a very young age - Rachel's mother was slain by the Grave Keeper's minions. This spiked the still on-going conflict where the Raven Lord seeks to claim all of the Grave Keeper's land so that he eventually can take him down. In the beginning; the Raven Lord's ways of approaching the Grave Keeper was mostly "harmless" all things considered, but it did not take long til the hunger for revenge almost consumed the Raven Lord and he began doing deeds which no man ever should speak off. Knowing why her father did this; but still knowing it was wrong - Rachel spendt many years trying to get her father to snap out of it, only too one day realize that her father had stepped past a line of which there was no turning back; This was when the Nexus war started as The Raven Lord forced champions of different realms to enter the Nexus in order to do his battles for him.

Fearing what her father had become mixed with the void left in her hearth due to her mothers early death: Rachel realized that she would have to stop her father should things ever come to pass. Without the Raven Lord's knowledge, Rachel willingly trapped herself within a Inter-dimensional trance that was created by mixing almost a countless number of Nexus magical arts which her father held possession of.

It had been but a day within the Nexus, but within her trance, Rachel had died and been reborn multiple times, she had lived trough different timelines to gather information, learn magical arts and by doing this: Acquired powers which was unknown to the world of the Nexus. Having lived different lives as the child of the Grave Keeper, Ka, Lady of Thorns, Neithis, Queen Nightshade and multiple lives as the daughter of the Raven Lord: She emerged from her Trance both empowered but at the same time broken from all of the hardships and trials she had put upon her self. While her newfound powers was nothing like anyone within the Nexus ever had seen before; these powers came with great risks and hefty limits which Rachel would need to master before she could stop her father.

The Raven Lord quickly sensed a powerful presence and found his collapsed daughter who had just exited her trance - only to instantly banish her from the Nexus as he feared the powers he sensed within her. This led Rachel to be transported to the world of Azeroth where she ended up spending four years almost entirely by her self in order to master her powers. Her emotions was both a key and price to pay; her multiple lives spendt and knowledge acquired had given her powers that was unknown to most worlds - But it came at the cost of that she could not let her emotions get the better of her which would be hard considering that it was her own father she had to take down. After that the four years had passed, Rachel finally managed to use her own magics to transport herself back to the Nexus. As the timeline's flow are different within the realms: Rachel returned to what for the Raven Lord would seem like only a couple of days later.

Standing side by side with other champions of the Nexus which had decided to take the battle against the Raven Lord: Rachel now fights many battles at once. She fights her father, the other Realm Lords and constantly needs to keep her emotions in check as they are directly linked with her powers.

Rachel takes up the role as a ranged Specialist / Support who's focus is aimed at supporting allies and shutting down enemies.


Baste stats:


- Base Health: 1498 (+4 % per level)
- Health regen: 3.24 (+4 % per level)


- Mana: 500
- Mana regen: 3.02


- Movement Speed: 100%

Basic attack:


Rachel launched compressed balls of dark magical matter from the palm of her hands for Basic Attacks

- Base damage: 87 (+4 % per level)
- Attack speed: 1.08
- Attack range: 5.5

Combat Trait

D - Emotional Core
Passive: Rachel has an aura around her which constantly grants her and her allies one of multiple different buffs. What buff she has active depends on the situation she is put in. This aura "checks" every 2 seconds for any change in the trigger of the aura and will switch around on the buff should a new criteria be met. Rachel's basic abilities are also affected in some way depending on what Aura buff she has active.

- Solitude: When Rachel has no allied or hostile heroes within her close proximity; she goes on high alert mode - Granting her 25% movement speed and causes for her to reveal the area within the aura range.

- Cornered: When Rachel only has hostile heroes within her close proximity; she gains 5 Armor per Hostile hero within her aura.

- Invigorated: When Rachel only has allied heroes within her close proximity; She gains 5% more ability power and basic attack damage per allied hero within the aura.

Equal footing: When both Allied and Hostile heroes are within Rachel's proximity; Her buff is decided by the state of her allies or enemies.

- Take them down: If the health threshold (Measured in total %) of all Hostile heroes is lower than for all allied heroes within Rachel's proximity; She and her allies will have their abilities recharge 20% faster in addition too granting a maximum of 25% increased damage to all allies - This 25% damage boost is divided evenly among the amount of allied heroes within the aura.

- Outmatched: If the health threshold (Measured in total %) of all Allied heroes is lower than for all Hostile heroes within Rachel's proximity; She and her allies will be granted up too a maximum of 25% movement speed and 25 Armor. This speed buff and armor is evenly divided between all allies.

- Losing control: Whenever an allied hero dies within Rachel's proximity, she gains a stack of "Unleashed Emotions" which lasts for 10 seconds. Each new stack refreshes the duration. Should this ever reach 4 stacks - Rachel will lose herself to madness and turn into a Monstrous Shadowy Creature that starts chasing down hostile heroes within her aura's proximity, attacking them if she gets close enough. While in this form;

- Rachel can not move herself.
- Can not use abilities.
- Gains movement speed equal to what a mounted character has.
- Gains 500% increased basic attack damage.
- Can pass over / trough walls / terrain

Should all hostile heroes within her aura die or escape: She will simply remain stationary and do nothing until an Allied hero re-spawns, in which she will automatically seek them out and revert back to herself once she reaches said hero.

The Aura has a range / size similar to Lucio's general Healing / Speed aura.

The Unleashed Emotions monster has size and range equal to that of Nazeebo's Ravenous Spirit.

Primary Abilities

Q - Hand of Darkness
Send forward a large hand made from shadows. The hand will travle down the chosen path for a set distance or until it collides with a hostile hero or structure; in which it will deal 151 (+ 4% per level) damage. This ability passes trough minions and mercenaries but will deal damage too them.

Buff alterations:

Solitude: Damage VS Minions, Mercenaries and Structures increased by 250%

Invigorated / Take them down: The Hand of Darkness now roots enemy heroes for 1.5 seconds and can shut down structures from shooting for 4 seconds.

Cornered / Outmatched: If the Hand of Darkness bypasses Allied heroes, it will cleanse them for Slows / Roots.

Mana: 40
Cooldown: 6 Seconds.

W - Shroud of Shadows
Cast a Protective shroud on yourself or an Allied hero which lasts for 2 seconds. This shroud will absorb damage up to a maximum of 60% of the hero's total maximum health. Should the shroud be broken, it will heal up all damage taken over 3 seconds.

Buff alterations:

Solitude: The shroud now burns minions, mercenaries and structures which comes into contact with it for damage equal to your basic attack damage each 0.5 seconds.

Invigorated / Take them down: The shroud heals over 3 seconds regardless of if it's broken or expires on time.

Cornered / Outmatched: The shroud now absorbs damage up to a maximum of 80% of the targets total health.

Mana: 65
Cooldown: 9 Seconds.

E - Nexus Time
Lock a hostile unit in stasis for 1.5 seconds. If used on a structure, it will stop shooting but can still be damaged.

Buff alterations:

Solitude: When used on structures; it prevents cannon-fire for 6 seconds.

Invigorated / Take them down: when the stasis ends on a hostile hero, they will be slowed by 60% for 4 seconds. This slow decays down from the initial 60% each second.

Cornered / Outmatched: Nexus Time can be cast on Allied heroes. While Nexus time is active on an Allied hero: their spirit can still walk around, allowing the Allied hero to re-locate themselves within the 1.5 seconds their physical body is safe from harm. When Nexus time ends, the hero will be moved to wherever the spirit is located.

Mana: 55
Cooldown: 12 Seconds.

Heroic Abilities

R - Curse of the Raven Lord
Curse the enemy team with the Raven Lord's curse for 10 seconds. While the curse is active, hostile heroes also take 15% increased damage.

Mana: 110
Cooldown: 120 Seconds.

R - Brand of the Nexus
Brand an Allied or Hostile hero for 15 seconds. Linking their spirit to the Nexus itself.

Branding Allied Hero: Whenever any hostile minion, mercenary, structure or hero takes damage all across the map while the brand is active: said Allied Hero will be healed for any damage dealt.

Branding Hostile Hero: Whenever any hostile minion, mercenary, structure or hero takes damage all across the map while the brand is active: said Hostile Hero will receive that damage too.

Mana: 95
Cooldown: 100 Seconds.

Special Mount

Z - Self Levitation
Rachel uses her magic to extend and wrap her cloak around her; which then will lift her just above ground level while granting increased movement speed.

Talents

Level 1




Reach of the Dark - Quest: Hit 30 Hostile Heroes with Hand of Darkness without dying.

Reward - 15 Heroes hit: Hand of Darkness has it's cooldown reduced by 1 second whenever it hits a hostile hero or structure.

Reward - 30 Heroes hit: Hand of Darkness will now bounce when it first hits a hostile hero or structure. This bounce effectively works as if the ability was re-cast from whatever it hit - This re-casted version will automatically seek out the closest hero or structure, prioritizing heroes.




Mana Shrouding - Quest: Gathering regeneration globes increases your Mana by 4.

Reward - 12 Globes gathered: Shroud of Shadows now lasts for 3 seconds.

Reward - 25 Globed gathered: Shroud of Shadows will jump to a nearby allied hero if the initial one is broken.




Freezing Time:

Increase the duration of Nexus Time by 0.5 seconds.




Reaching Out:

Increase the size of Emotional Core by 50%


Level 4




Risk taker:

You can activate Emotional Core to give the current active buff a boost which doubles it's effect and makes it last for 6 seconds, denying the buff to be changed by it's 2 second check timer. Doing this will give you 2 stacks of Losing Control which each lasts for 30 seconds.

Cooldown: 60 Seconds.




Hungering Shadows:

Shroud of Shadows now gives the target 50% Life Steal for it's duration.




Offensive Darkness:

Shroud of Shadows can now be cast on Hostile heroes. Denying them healing for it's duration.


Level 7




Grasps from bellow:

Hand of Darkness now spawns two hands - Changing the trajectory of this ability into becoming that of the two hands leaving Rachel and splitting up in a V shape.




Soultouched:

Hand of Darkness now continues to travle forward for it's full path but will still only root and damage one target. The hand which travels after impact passes trough heroes and structures; slowing down hero movement speed by 25% for 2 seconds and lowering the rate of fire from structures by 75% for 4 seconds.




Unstoppable Prowess:

Activate to make yourself become Unstoppable for 3 seconds. This can be cast while affected by most forms of Crowd Control.

Cooldown: 45 Seconds.




Master of adaptation:

Each time Emotional Core changes buff, you and all of your allies within the aura range are healed for 7% of your total maximum health.


Level 10 - R (Ultimates)




R - Curse of The Raven Lord.



R - Brand of The Nexus.

Level 13




Flowing Timeline:

Nexus Time gains can be re-cast for free within 4 seconds of the initial Nexus Time cast.




Alter Destiny:

Nexus Time can be cast on yourself with the same effect it has on allies - You do not need any particular Emotional Core buff to cast Nexus Time on yourself unlike how it is with casting it on allies.




Deciding Fate:

Nexus Time's Emotional Core benefits becomes stronger.

Solitude: Stops cannon fire for 10 seconds.

Invigorated / Take them down: When Nexus Time expires, it now roots the target for 1 second before the slow begins.

Cornered / Outmatched: When Nexus Time expires, it now grants a 40% speed boost for 1.5 seconds when used on allies.


Level 16




Forced Despair:

When Hand of Darkness hit's a hostile hero, they will have their armor reduced by 15 for 4 seconds.




Returning to the dark:

If Hand of Darkness hits nothing before reaching the end of it's path; it will linger around for 3 seconds before returning to Rachel. While lingering still for the 3 seconds, the Hand can trigger if a hostile hero runs into it.




Painful Feedback:

When Shroud of Shadows expires or is broken, it will deal all damage taken inn split evenly among all close hostile heroes.




Help from another realm:

If Shroud of Darkness is broken, it's cooldown is reduced by 4 seconds.


Level 20




In the dark of night:

Curse of The Raven Lord now lasts for 15 seconds. Any hero takedowns done during the curse; Be it hostile or friendly - will extend it's duration by 5 seconds.




Signs of a Realm Lord:

Brand of The Nexus is applied to all Allied and Hostile heroes, regardless of where on the map they are - Yet the effective damage / healing received does have a drop-off depending on how far away everyone is from Rachel.




Otherworldly Meditation:

Activate to start a 20 second channel where Rachel's location will be revealed on the map. During these 20 seconds; Rachel is stuck in place, chanting a spell which will cause Hands of Darkness to randomly be cast all around the battlefield, and allied heroes will gain a Shroud of Shadows each 5 seconds. These Hands and Shrouds have all benefits from Emotional Core.

Cooldown: 120 Seconds.




Afraid of the Dark?

Whenever Rachel gains a stack of Losing Control: All hostile heroes within the aura range becomes feared for 1 second. This fear slows movement speed by 25% and causes the heroes to run away from Rachel.




The End:

Activate to instantly gain 4 stacks of Surrendered to Destiny - This causes Rachel to enter an extreme version of her Shadow Monstrosity form which lasts for 60 seconds. While this form is active, Rachel's location is revealed, she will chase down enemy heroes no matter how far away they are - and if no hostile heroes is alive, she will turn on her own allied heroes and go for them instead. When this form ends, Rachel dies and is placed on a regular respawn timer.

Skin suggestions

Since the model for Rachel is created using WoW Model Viewer as I can't draw / paint for s***: I will only display what she looks like and leave it at that seen as there isn't gear pieces in WoW that lets me give her the colors I want with the same models of gear.



Her color palette is "Dark" - Other skins would include the same get up but with "Pink" - "Red" - "Orange" and "Green" palette's instead.
